5 Vedic Astrology books you should read before you die

Are you interested in the world of Vedic Astrology ?

Here is my take on 5 books that have changed my perception not only about vedic astrology but life per se.

Please comment if I missed out other pearls from the ocean.

1. Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra – Girish Chand Sharma

🔆 Perhaps one of the best translation of the classical text Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra in English.

🔆 Not for beginners as you might find it difficult to understand to start with.

🔆 My personal experience is that you should read the book again and again for 1-2 years to have some meaningful knowledge.

2. Elements of Vedic Astrology – K S Charak

🔆 Written by Dr. K.S. Charak, FRCS, the Head of the Department of Surgery at Spinal Injury Hospital in Delhi. Dr. Charak has been teaching Vedic Astrology for the last 25 years at Indian Council of Astrological Sciences in Delhi; and practicing it for the last 40 years.

🔆 Comes in 2 Volumes

3. Light on Life – Hart Defouw & Robert Svoboda

🔆 Written by Dr. Robert Svoboda, who is the first Westerner ever to graduate from a college of Ayurveda and be licensed to practice Ayurveda in India.He is the author of twelve books including Prakriti: Your Ayurvedic Constitution and the Aghora series, which discusses his experiences with his mentor during the years 1975 – 1983

🔆 Easy to understand. Beginners can read this without any prior knowledge of the subject

🔆 My favorite owing to the conversational and simple way of writing.

4. Learn, Think and Predict Through Astrology – C P Arora

🔆 Written by Professor C.P. Arora, Ph.D. (Engineering) is a former dean, head of department and professor of IIT.

🔆 Simplest of the lot , Professor Arora has used logic and objectivity effectively to explain the basics.

🔆 Should be the first book to read , but you will need it even after reading thousands other books 🙂
